Fuel injecting a 460, want to use the 5.0's EECIV.. Info/advice please
Ok motor details,
'71 460 w. C9VE Heads.
What I'm wanting to do is adapt a 5.0's EECIV FI system to my 460, but would like to talk to some folks who have done this in the past or are in the process of putting it together now. A *detailed* parts list would be ideal. any information is helpful though,
My main question would be the intake/fuel rails. what intake would you all recommend? is there a purpose built one for a reasonable price or is it smarter to just have the stock intake drilled for fuel injectors, and are there any fuel rails purpose built or is/should it be a fabricated setup as well?
I know I would need injectors, ECU, harness, Maf, Bonnet, TB and the assorted piping to put it all together. Just unclear on if I'm missing anything in the list and what exactly I should do with the intake/rails.
motor is already completly built. specs as follows
c9ve ported heads 2.19/1.75 valves
custom comp cam .588/.588 lift cam solid flat tappet
650 lift max valve springs
10 to 1 comp
h beam rods
stock intake soon to aftermarket.. prob stealth
high volum oil pump
forgot to mention a 225 shot of spray and no more than 6500 rpm,

Also, just out of curiousity to anyone thats done this, what do you figure it cost you start to finish?
