cam questions

Working on a 521 build with scj heads. What kind of profile of solid flat tappet cam would work good with this. Like to make as much power as possible. Would it be possible to have a cam that makes big power and not have to turn rpm up real high.

Intended use, gearing, trans, vehicle type, weight etc etc will all have bearing on proper cam design... More information would be helpful.

Street/strip 4000lb with 350 gear hope to get a big block c4 bell housing so I can c4 trans with 3000-3500 stall. Don't want to go any higher on stall. The c4 wont loose as much hp through it as a c6 would.

Unless you are after every last 10th get a C6... Especially true given your vehicle weight...

What size stall for .584 .588 lift cam.

I have a 460 cobra jet engine with a 429 crank in it which makes it a 473. I jus put in a new comp energy extreme cam lift .584 .588 and I'm getting a built c4 and was wondering what size stall should I run.

No such thing as a " 460 Cobra Jet engine " Ford did make a 429 Cobra Jet engine though.

A 460 with a 429 stroke crankshaft is a 429 as the bore sizes are the same.
