Engine build plan advise

I haven't been on here in awhile. But recently I have found an engine I'm going to buy probley going to pick it up this weekend. It's a 70 429 cobra jet. Got all the correct parts on it but it's a 2 bolt main block. D0ve-a block. Cobra jet d0oe-r heads. All stock rebuild kind of engine. Thinking of building it into another pull truck engine. Here's what I'm thinking of doing input would be appreciated. As it will be awhile before I get the funds to do it after spending my spare money to buy it.
Take the block have it converted into 4 bolt with splayed main bolts. I already have a 429 industrial steel crank offset ground to 3.85 stroke with 2.20 Chevy rod journals. Going to use that crank bore it to 4.440 possibly it's a 0.030 over now, or would you stick with the smaller bore? I have some k1 h beam 6.8 rods big Chevy style I may use. Custom Pistons would be a must I'm sure. They would be forged 2618 thin rings of some brand any favorites? Have the heads ported, undercut valves bronze valve guides. Solid roller cam I'm thinking either cam research since I've used a couple of theirs before or Chris Straub since he's local. Reuse my ported to cobra jet motorsports victor intake and 1050 dominator. What size headers would this need? I want to spin this thing way up there 8k at least. Class I'm going for is stock block stock heads 512 inch limit 1 ton under drivetrain.
Thanks in advance for the replies

I picked up my engine this Sunday. Very cool piece or at least it is to me. Its a D0VE-A 2 bolt block with the raised A on the front this makes it a boss bulkhead correct? which means more metal on the front bearing area I think. Heads are stock down to the valves but very clean. That qaudrajet style intake must weight 40# of course it will go but it surprised me the weight of it. Had the wrong gaskets on it standard port gaskets on the intake and exhaust manifolds. Came with a cool old Mallory dual points distributor too.

About the rods I am second guesing the K1 rods they have the L-19 bolts and have been resized and checked but do you think they would hold up at that rpm? What brand should I consider? Also I could go with 6.7 or stay with the 6.8 plan I had/
