"C8VE-E" HI-PORT HEADS Fresh Port & Polish [ e

Early Set of Small Chamber Hi-Compresstion [ 75 C.C.] combustion chamber Heads, with casting number "C8VE-E" these heads are the same castings as the C9VE & DOVE-A HEADS, most people don't know this fact that ford used the same castings for all 3 years [ 1968-69-70 ] the only difference besides the casting numbers was in 1970 Ford drilled the heads from end to end for the thermacter smog system, that is why you sometimes see this hole plugged up on some 1970 castings [ DOVE-A]. these heads with a flat top piston will yield about 11 to 1 compresstion., with a small dome 13 to 1 .. As for these heads they have been pro - Braised / welded up on the exhaust ports half way up & ported back to make a Killer usable short turn radiuse, this trick increases flow about 20% on these heads, this was done to the 351-C HEADS during the early pro-stock days when rules only allowed for "welding & porting only" to the heads, later the rules changed & a port plate took it's place here on the exhaust port. these heads were done by the well know porter of Edward Mosler fame. he has been porting heads for over 35 years & has been Head design & enginner for Ford, Chrysler & Buick in the 60's & 70's . they should flow in the 200 + cfm range as for stock exhaust ports you are lucky to get 180 cfm on a max port job. the heads have been cleaned & magnafluxed & have no-cracks or problems, one combustion chamber has been fitted for 2.19 intake valve size & 1.75 exhaust size. [ 2 new valves were used ] see picture. all that needs to be done is cut the exsisting valve pockets to the bigger valves, add guides & surface the heads, & blend up the bowls to the new port shapes & you will have a fairly decent Race head.. that should make 600 + H.P. with the right parts selection.. they are heavy @ about 65 pounds each when boxed & ready for shipping. [ it should be between $100.00 & $150.00 ] depending on your location. there must be some one out there who understands how good these heads are ? over 100 views ? very cheap price. lets do the math.

welding the exhaust ports = $150.00
porting the exhaust ports = $150.00
head cores = $150.00
clean & magnaflux the cores = $50.00
2 new valves + cutting 2 seats = $42.50

Problem is... nobody wants to make a custom header for a D0VE head.

You might have better luck selling these if you put them on a flow bench and show the actual flow numbers, just a thought. Alot of people might be afraid of them because they are unique. Chris

Heads

Will these heads fit on a 87 block and what would the compression be for flat with two valve relief? Are they good to bolt on? Pleas PM me with more info.
