UHHHHHHH, Wouldn't it already have the mounts you need if it was a SCJ to start with?

God Bless

thats it. going from fe 428 to 429-460 (385 series power). he said crities makes some. but are just oe for parts. and im wondering what we need to go get from the parts store to make this happen. budget build here. if we dont have to spend 200 on mounts that would be great!

I believe that you can use 1970 torino block plates and rubber insulators with the cars original shock tower supports to make the swap.

all the factory OEM parts from a 70 Torino 429 will Fit avaliable from local parts stores. One recomendation Crites headers do fit with small modifications well worth the money for a budget build

I'm doing a 429 swap in my '69 F code Torino. The 429 is from a 71 LTD. That's what I was told anyway. What are the small mods to get the headers to fit?

You are far better off buying the Crites kit for mounts. If you do find OEM parts for 70 torino 429, better get your wallet. Mounts from LTD or anything else from the parts store won't work. I have looked into every option for a straight bolt on application. Now, you can fab something that will work.

I made my own mounts for my 429 going into my 1968 mercury montego wagon. It was very easy to do and free if you are handy with a cutting wheel and welder. Just a thought!

Yeah I was gonna do the crites mounts, getting '69 BB springs, planning on notching my shock towers for the manifold and plugs, I was just wondering what other little things I should look forward to doing to cram it all in there.
