Alternator recommendations?

'58 Tbird.
460 from a '73 Mercury.
No big stereo system (no radio at all, actually).
Electric fan (late 90's Ford Contour unit with a FAL electronic controller).
Not a whole lot of electrical demand here.

I think my alternator is dying.
Right now I have some sort of unknown chrome-plated thing.

Any recommendations?
I dont really need a "chrome" alternator... cuz nobody can see the dang thing anyways.

Ford 3g 130 amp internal regulated alternator, very reliable with EZ retro-fit to earlier vehicles. I have purchased a few from my local U-Pull-It for $15 each, look for a mid 90's Ford Taurus, these have the same type of mounting points as the 1G alternators. Good luck.

Yeah, it's a hybrid...It burns gas and tires.

No matter how good she looks somebody, somewhere is tired of her sh#t.
