I know this is probably not the place, but people should know. I recently purchased a Tuff Stuff reduction starter from autoplicity.com. It was defective from the factory, never made a sound or turned over at all. I've been trying to return it for over a month now. After 4 emails and a phone call, I still don't have an RMA # to return starter. They told me their server was down for a day or two a month ago, so that's why no RMA#.
I have bought some stuff from them with no problems but they were items with no moving parts. They were cheaper than the other outfits for the same thing so why not? On the other hand,I did notice they have a few negs on Ebay. You probably know this already but...800 299 1028 Jenna in customer service
Yea, I purchased from them because they were like $15 cheaper. Big mistake, should of just used Summit or Jegs. I talked to Jenna, I think, to no avail. She said she would send me an RMA # two days ago. I let the manufacturer know and they offered to swap the starter, but I've had enough headaches. I'll just buy a different brand from Summit or keep using the factory style.
I had a brand new $150 Tuff Stuff alternator that didn't go 10 miles before it locked up. It went on a my buddies Pontiac 455. I didn't get it from the place you are talking about but I thought I would throw this out there because it was the same brand purchased. It was the first Tuff Stuff thing I had purchased. I was NOT impressed.
