rear end noises

hey guys, i just rebuilt my ford 9 inch rear end using my factory iron case and pinion support, then installed new gears, trac loc differential and all new bearings and seals. I've put about 400 miles on the car so far and today when i took it for a spin i noticed a bad vibration noise / squeal coming from the rear end. its only when you coast down the road not when your accelerating or decelerating. its that in-between the drive and driven of the car.

any ideas?

bad bearing?, gears didn't break in properly?

Have a look at the gear oil, if it looks "silvery" that is usually a sign of a pinion or carrier bearing issue, but could also be a sign of excessive wear from incorrect pinion/ring gear set up. If the oil looks clean, could be a wheel bearing issue. Also check the pinion bearings by trying to move pinion yoke up and down, any movement is bad.

Yeah, it's a hybrid...It burns gas and tires.

No matter how good she looks somebody, somewhere is tired of her sh#t.

Start simple. Has the pinion nut loosened? Try tightening it up, if it is even a lil loose it'll whine on decel.
