West Coast Big Block Ford Bash?

I have tried to follow the bash that they do back east, but its always a long trip for us out west to make it to. My wife and I have started a drag racing promotions company and started to do events around Utah. I thought it would be a good time to have a western Big Block Bash if there is enough interest to cover the cost of insurance and the facility. Respond and let me know how much desire there is, and we can see about putting one on.

www.streetdragz.com is our website to see some of the events we did last year.

We held two events here in Colorado a few years ago, but there wasn't enough participation to support them.

If you can do a standing mile, I'll be first in line, and you'll have no problem selling out in short order (if you opened it to all makes and models). There's a huge demand right now, and less than five events nationally.

Angry

We'll be lucky to get anything here in Kaliphornya....we are losing our tracks to the tree hugging nanny's of this corrupt excuse for a state.

As the world turns...I get more dizzy!

Sacramento Raceway has their "All Fast Fords and Muscle Mustangs" on April 14, 2013. Perhaps something could be built around that weekend. And Sacramento is rather centrally located on the left coast--same latitude as Pueblo, CO and Owensboro, KY Bashes. A lot of inexpensive hotels, too.

Or of course we could possibly create our own dedicated West Coast Bash event. And there are a number of left coast builders and enthusiasts who could put together an evening of Show & Tell as well.

If enough people express interest in the idea of a West Coast Bash at Sac I could look into it--I have a couple of indirect "ins" with people at the track.

Paul

p.s.: We did a "Left Coast Hang" two years ago, drinking and dining and great story telling, and that was a blast. This past summer slipped by before another event could be created but we can do that again and/or incorporate it into a full-fledged bash this year if there's enough interest.

I'd love the chance to participate in something like that.

We had the "Fordlovers West Coast Nationals" for five years straight put on by Larry Stuekrath in Sacramento.....but it has disappeared. I would support an event in California or Nevada.

The area we have been racing in is basically right on the border of utah, nevada, and arizona. Its about 1.5 hrs north of Vegas on I-15. I am kinda suprised there are not more Ford guys out this way....

I think in order for us to cover the insurance and other expenses, we would need to have around 40-50 cars...

If there are places to set up in NV we might consider it, just depends on the logistics.
