I am looking at trading my 73 BB coupe for a 59 bird with a 352. I would like to put a 460 in it. What would it take to do so? May keep it a FE car with a 390 but I think a 460 would be better.
Thanks
They had a rare t-bird option in 1959 for the MEL 430 lincoln engine. @375hp, and if you do your home work there is a extremely rare "super marauder" 430 engine available in mercurys that year that had 3x2's on an aluminum manifold, a big alum. aircleaner and finned valve covers. It was rated at 400hp. In 1959 ford won Daytona with a 430 bird, and continued to race the 430 birds a few more years. My brother has one of the "super marauder" engines ratholed for a 32 coup project.
