I am currently working on a Pro Street 63 Fairlane. It is in the process of a back half. The componets are Chris Alston 4 links and a Fab 9 housing. I used Mark Williams axles, I took the advice here and used the 35 spline stuff.
It has a spool and 4.11s. 98% of its life will be on the strip.
I used The Rod and Custom front cross member with coilovers, and 2" drop spindles. It has Willwood 12" brakes on all 4 corners.
I used a C6 with a manual valve body and a 10" 3500 stall converter.
The engine is a 71 block with the cast crank, polished rods, and Sealed Power flattop forged pistons. The rotating assembly was balanced. I used the Blue Thunder SCJ heads with the Ford ports, the BT intake. The heads were ported and preped by Rod at Blue Oval in Denver. I have a Demon 850 E-85 carb and a mild cam 234/234@.50 which was degreed and advanced 4 degrees (1500 to 6500). I used the FPA headers to fit the Rod and Custom part.
I will keep you posted.
