1964 F100 466 zero decked fuelie 7cc dish pistons, with RHP 2.11 1.65 budget D3 heads, Voodoo cam 219/227, rpm intake, Holley Terminator EFI, MSD Ignition, MSD FORD TFI Distrbutor, 4R70W Trans with Baumann Re-cal kit, US Shift electronic Trans controller with B&M Megashifter, 2500 Dirty Dog Convertor, 3.50 gears with detroit locker.

I am fairly new to all this what would recurving the distributor do for me and how would I do it? Since I have it pulled already, it is an oem dizzy btw.

Hey, I had a '78 Bronco that I swapped a 460 into too. Mine had a stock bottom end with lightly ported D3 heads and a Comp extreme 4x4 cam, performer intake and Edelbrock 750. 7" lift kit, 35" BF Goodrichs, Detroit locker, and stock 3.50 grears. I had a lot of fun with it, but the body was pretty poor, Flintstone style . I sold it to a friend who was going to do something with it, and never did.

it's easy. either get the crane kit from summit, or send your distributor into someone to rework it.
A good advance curve makes a vehicle SO much more usable

Haven't posted here in a while ,got it all put together and running pretty good,just thought I would notice a little more power ,but ..running 33"tires and 3.50 gears ...I did not recurve the dizzy

You have made a step in the right direction, but you are giving up some HP not recurving your distributor.

What are you running for exhaust? Hedders?

Nice bronco! I just finished my big block install. Thought I would notice more power as well but as dman said the recurve will do wonders. I haven't recurved mine yet still waiting on doing that. I'm sure ill see more power when recurved!!

Stock manifolds ,then the exhaust joins up right behind the cross member ,through a single glass pack the splits to each side. Been that way since I got it.

I'd say go with the recurve. I mean it can't hurt. It can only make it better. And if it doesn't do anything at all atleast you cancelled that out. You can get springs kits from summit and such with instructions on how to adjust and curve. Thats what I plan to do!

So, I finally ordered a distributor from the Mad Porter ,thats on the way. I replace my radiator so since I'll be half way in there a new timing set may be in order...

have you done anything with the exhaust yet? It makes a HUGE difference, good headers, nice flowing mufflers and some mandrell bent pipes at least 2 1/2" tubes but 3" will be better, the carb you got even tho its a vacuum secondary its the better one with the metering block in the rear so it can be jetted, have you worked the carb at all? maybe when you get your dizzy back from Scotty J you can work some magic on the carb too???

The carb is rebuilt I haven't done anything else to that. Hopefully this summer i'll get to the exhaust.
