You should have gone through the VB anyway. This will be a great time to add a drain plug to your oil pan too...

Glad to here you did go thought the VB, guess you saw reason why! FYI on the gasket, always put them up to the plate and make sure the gasket is not blocking any of the holes.

-Ok, let's start with the pennies . They go in the servo accumulator bore between the valve and cover . Stack them in to fill the cavity so as the end cover will fit back ok.
-The servo modulator valve beside it has a 1/4 steel ball on top between valve and cover to block its movement .
-To the cutback valve , a 1/4 steel ball under the valve to block any movement
-In that diagram looks like a 1/4 ball in the 2-1 schedule valve
- The main pressure spring is stretched a little to slightly raise line pressure .
- The hole in the seperator plate is drilled to 1/8", this is the hole beside where the check valve is in the channel casting.

allright sounds good but can you post pics of where these things go on the trans itself? maybe a spare valve body and pics would be amazing before i attempt this mod? i am considering this mod because my tranny is leaking from the gasket so might as well open it and do this while i am there. great info so far and would appreciate a few pics if not the n a pic of the C6 valve body and markings of where to make said changes...thanks a lot.

So are these mods and the ones mentioned in the other thread an option to use as aposed to a shift kit or to be used in conjunction with a kit? I think I could figure out how to do these from the napkin drawing but I'm wondering if I'm better of buying a shift kit if so what kits are better than others this will be a street driven truck with some track time

These mods are a form if shift improver very similar to a shift kit. They di near the same thing.
If you want a full kit the Transgo 67-2 is a nice choice
