400m C6 same bellhousing as 460 ?

Im looking at picking up a C6 from a 400m. Am I safe to assume it will be the same bellhousing as my 460 or could it possibly be a small block bellhousing ?
The Trans is out of a 81 F250

Its a 2h drive to go get so I figured I would ask here to make sure.

400M and 460 bell housing bolt pattern is the same. The 351C and the FE series engines are different altogether.

some of the first 400s in the early 70s did have the small block pattern. im sure the 81 is fine unless it's been replaced.
