gearing ?

Found out I need to change gears running 4.56 right now tried it in 4 low and was on the rev limiter from mid track on running in high and didn't hit second till the last 50 feet. the gears that will work in a 10.25 axle will be 5.13 or 5.38 tire are 36x17.5x16 paddles want to run high gear and its cheaper to buy gears then new paddles

Why are you not shifting into 2nd until the last 50'? I'm running a 5.43 rear gear on the low side of a 205 t-case and I'm shifting into 2nd right out of the gate and in 3rd by 30-50' in the hole.

How long is the track? What RPM do you have your limiter set at?

When I was running the red bronco, I ran a 5.13 gear front and rear, 33x16.5x15 casing with 16 Hookers on it. c-6, left off the trans brake, shifting at 6400, I would pull 2ns gear about 80ft out, and the shift light would just come on to catch 3rd as I was crossing thru the traps. a 36" casing tire is really big, seems like a lot of tire to get moving for ya

Big Broncos for life!

I would think 5.38s so you could get into 3rd and not be on the chip. You could throw some 39.5 boggers on it if you decided to go to a bog and run it in low too.

We're putting on two races in Clayton, one in Raton, and one in Dalhart, TX. Check out batcaveracing.com for rules and to see the posters with the pay-outs, they might change your mind.
