EFI for a 460? [Archive] - 460 Ford Forum

Hi guys,
I have a 521 in a 67 Fairlane. I like the HP and torque but I want to get better driveability. I have heard that EFI will give as much or more power and be easier to handle around town than my 950 CFM Holley.

Has anyone used OEM EFI and opened up the manifold to match Edelbroch heads? Is there a year model that is better than other to try? I'm guessing that a truck manifold will be made for torque and NOT Horsepower. I can't find any aftermarket supplier for an EFI manifold, does anyone know of a source?

You can convert any carb intake to EFI. Check out..

And as far as power; not really. EFI vs Carb if the intakes are the same is a wash as far as power is concerned. Drivability and economy and ease of tuning once you master the tools; yes...efi offers all of that.
