Pluging Head Vent (Emission) Holes

460 Heads from the mid-80s have and emmision tube (rear) between the 2 heads.

Is there a common solution to plugging these holes in a drag car?

Where do I purchase these type of plugs?

I have never done that before, but I don't see why you couldn't just use a soft plug and drive into the holes, I don't think the exhaust pressure would push it out. If you are worried about it getting blowed out, you could have a solid plug machined and then use the clamp that held the old pipe in, to hold the plugs in. I don't know if anyone makes a plug especially for that or not.

yes, there is a soft plug available and it will work ,i first cut and fololded the old tubes at first untill a friend seen it. then we did it the right way with a steel soft plug ,but for the life of me, plus it being a while, i cant rember the exact size. it did work, and the friend is using the heads and there still init.
