JSracing 12-28-2006, 08:12 PM It's not complete, but it's getting there. It will eventually be a Blown 585 Cid A460 with TFS "A" heads.
Thanks to DAVE McLain and his mad machine shop skills.
Thanks to Lem Evans for the great deals on all the Parts.
Thanks to Adney Brown for some very sweet crank grinding to create the SCAT forged 4.5 arm with a cut down snout.
Still have to install and degree the cam.

JSracing 12-28-2006, 08:18 PM A few more pics. mainly Mock up because the head bolts are going to have to be sized to clear the rocker stands. I also wanted to see the overall height and get an idea of the type distributor I might need.

LOL yes that is your old Intake. I'm not going to agree to the dumbass part though. I'm going to run the motor in on the dominator and TFS intake before we put the huffer on it.
Looks really nice!!!!!!! Just dont get to greedy with it.LOL
Good luck

Devildog 03-16-2007, 12:00 PM Sweet!
Did you weld the T&D shaft stands or did you use indexing pins?
Which version of heads are those? I have lots of A heads and none of them look like those.
BBsteve 03-19-2007, 03:32 PM damn jerry, thats wild!
Phantasea466 03-20-2007, 11:11 AM Jerry,
Looks NICE! Hey someone forgot to screw in one of your freeze plugs :P
How much weight did you have to take out of the crank?
Keep up the good work!
ProStreetFairlane 03-20-2007, 12:06 PM Holy Canoly! That blower on top of the ram is NASTY!

those are Jesel Shafts bolt together in the middle. Biggest issue with them is having to cut a few threads off of each inside head stud to get them to clear the rocker stands. Other than that.... its cake.

Dave McLain Balanced the crank. I think the info is posted here on one of the crank threads in the Tech forum.

You mean the steel stands bolt together?
Which version (year) of heads are those? I have some with the raised flat portion but no TFS letters and some with completely flat ends with TFS milled into the flat area.
I also have T&D shaft Rockers that look just like those. Instead of welding all the stands together, my head specialist placed indexed (intake and exhaust specific) dowels (2 per stand) to prevent rotation. We had to cut down the head studs too.

Yes the stands bolt together. These look to be about 95 or so year. the head stud bosses have also been milled on these.
