Your probably looking at 12.5 on compression with a 4.440 bore, unless you cut the heads.

Hyd Cam is a bad Choice for a True HP/Race build, I would look at some A460's (or Some Really Heavly Ported SCJ's or TFS STreets at a minimum), ditch the Tunnel Ram and Get a Single Plane with a 1050 or 1150 Dominator and A nice Roller Grind. Is that what your looking for?

I can't see putting all that money into a big cube build and running a Hydrolic cam, have someone get you a cam that will work for your application. nice big solid or Roller.

Agree......... Solid Flat tappet would suffice but a roller would be optimum. You would need to upgrade the valve springs, locks and retainers along with the appropriate valve train including a stud girdle

I would get a custom ground solid cam if you are running any nos.And if you are running stock " mildly ported heads",don't shoot for straight up numbers, but , nos pass numbers.imo 8)

imo keep tunnel ram if you are confident in your tuning ability. tunnel rams make more power than a single carb this hasbeen proven before even on the p-51s im not to far away from you i live in indiana state line. do you plan to bring car to any street car choas this year? it would be great to have another bbf mustang there. ever street race it ?
