I got my results today on my build, this is going in a 70 Torino convertible. It a Dove-A 4 bolt block with professionally ported D0OE Heads cast iron of course. I pretty much pulled out all the stops on the build, it is has a Lunati solid roller cam, and roller rockers. 675 lift and split duration of 294/300, at 50, 110 degree. I think those numbers are correct, would need to double check the duration numbers but I know the lift is correct. I was going to go solid flat tappet, but wanted the power to come on much faster so I opted for full roller motor. I am using a stock crank, and H beam eagle rods. The pistons a J.E light weight flat tops, so the compression is high, for a street car anyway, right under 12 to 1, the heads and blocked were milled just a little. With a Holley 1000 cfm carb and long tube headers in pulled 696 H.P. @ 6500 and 668 TQ at 4500. That is with a ported victor intake, soory don't know what the flow numbers are on the heads as of the moment. I am using an original dual point dist, that was just completely gone through and stock SCJ duel pump. The combination seems to work well. With the stock 780 CFM carb, stock scj intake and stock cast iron headers it drops to 576 H.P. at 5500 RPM and 609 TQ at 4000 RPM, still noce numbers. I am doing a concourse lookin resto with a bunch more power of course si will be using the lowest powered combo, but atleast I know where I stand if I run a better set up on the mill. Just wanted to post to let you know what could be gotten out of this combo.
