Bellhousing for a C460 Block?

Hello,

So I have this awesome C460 block that I'm going to use to build a short stroke Comp Eliminator engine. As I'm mounting it to an engine stand, I notice it's missing the two upper mounting holes for the bellhousing. This is due to the short decks of course. I haven't had a chance to talk to any of the bellhousing manufacturers. I hope they can provide me with a clutch can without too much trouble.

Has anyone else had experience putting a clutch can on one of these blocks?

I believe that it takes the small block Ford bellhousing.

Thanks Rich. That's what I was hoping for. I'll have to borrow a sbf bellhousing from someone and check for myself.

The block takes a standard 460 bellhousing. It's just missing the upper two bolt holes where the block was decked. If it makes you feel better, tap the block plate and use very short screws. We've run these blocks and just leave those two bolts out.
