car keeps dieing out ???

Hey guys I can't seem to find out what is going on with my 89 gt ! If I put it in gear "automatic" is will stall out . It also seems like if I put the heater on there it also wants to stall and it smells like its running realy rich . I put a new alternator on and a new battery but still the same ?? If you guys have any ideas let me knoe please .

Since your car is a SD car if ya had a vac leak it would RPM.. Have you checked it for codes.. You didn't mention when the problem first occured?

Your MAP sensor can ba a problem but then a bunch of other things as well.. Sticking EGR will make the car stall.. oil coated IAC (Idle control motor) Ummm... the PVC likes to coat the IAC in the throttle body..

When was the last time you changed plugs and had a look at the dist cap?

Last tid bit.. pull the vac hose off the pressure regulator and see if the hose has fuel in it.. A ruptured reg will suck fuel making the car run rich..

My buddy is bring over a computer tomarow to see what codes it have . I'm also thing it's the IAC but we will see .
