pull the dizzy and see if the pin is broke in the gear!

or the gear is stripped?

what would cause that to happen?

it happened to mine. heavy oil and high volume and or pressure pumps will do that. there is a thred on here about double pinning the gear. as far and gear wear goes, well the is a oiling mod that can be done to help with the bronze gear wear issue's and not having it set right can do it to. or not having the right gear for sertain cams can do it aswell!

Look down the distributor hole while somebody cranks (JUST A TOUCH) the engine. If the cam doesn't turn, pull the front cover and replace whats busted. THEN do a compression check to fond where the bent valves are. :(
