need some helpBBFORDFAN 08-13-2008, 05:33 PM what would cause my bg220 fuel pump to stop when i turn over the ignition? it has 8pounds of pressure then when i turn it over to start it drops to 0 and you cant hear the pump. stop trying to start it and it goes back to 8pounds. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks jim richter69 08-13-2008, 05:45 PM big amp draw by the starter. Gearhead559 08-13-2008, 06:37 PM it happened to mine. heavy oil and high volume and or pressure pumps will do that. there is a thred on here about double pinning the gear. as far and gear wear goes, well the is a oiling mod that can be done to help with the bronze gear wear issue's and not having it set right can do it to. or not having the right gear for sertain cams can do it aswell! Chuck Stevens 08-13-2008, 09:41 PM Look down the distributor hole while somebody cranks (JUST A TOUCH) the engine. If the cam doesn't turn, pull the front cover and replace whats busted. THEN do a compression check to fond where the bent valves are. :( | |
