I have an 88 F-150 Fuel injected 351 and it has this problem whenever I turn the lights on the engine feels like it's loading up. It does it really bad on the interstate at night. It will cruise normal for a few seconds and then bog down. If I goose it it will clear out and take off, but then start bogging down immediatly after. Sometimes it will backfire right before it clears out and takes off. The volts stay in the middle of the "normal" range. And it only does this when the lights are on. Lights off it drives fine as frog hair. Any ideas?

Maybe check grounds motor to frame, and radiator support to frame? And find ground wires for headlight system? Go to one of the ford truck message boards, and ask. You can't be the only one to have had that problem.
