Yes, it would be nice to have one post in here that didn't degrade to guys acting like a bunch of highschoolers.

That sucks for me, my son is in a baseball tourney in Mississippi that weekend. I wont be able to make it. Damn the bad luck!! I was hoping for earlier in the year.

well, guess i wont be able to make this one. thats the weekend of our annual festival. It is a family thing. although wife said we should go to bash instead. not much for her and a 6 and 11 month old to do though there.

Dave, if it helps I have a 6 and 4 year old they can play with if that makes it any easier. The girls would love other kids to play with! I'd hate to see ya not come for that, but I do understand about the youngest. Thats a pretty rough weekend for a little one like that.

We are in!! I just made reservations at the Super 8 again this year, the phone number for anyone interested is (270) 685-3388. We will be bringing the black car back again and this year hopefully my brothers 1993 Pro Mustang also, I am so ready for the first week of June to get here.

Kerry, most people show up on Thursday but I'm sure there is more than enough trouble to get into arriving Tuesday. Espcially if the Coug hits the roadhouse a couple of days early!!!:D

Guess I need to do some research on Hotels unless Phillip or Lem are working on a sponsored "Host" hotel.

Last year I made reservations at Hampton for the April race but when it got rained out and rescheduled to July the prices went up a BUNCH! So we got rooms at the Super 8 again. I'll check on Hampton, Tracy wants a place with a pool this time :rolleyes:

I am not going to stay in Motel 6 again this year.
Those bathrooms are just way too small, I can't even take a halfway decent dump!:mad: I don't know why they have to put them so close to the wall.

:cool: Gives me more time to work on the car since my doctors only just gave me the okay to work on it. Bad part is I go back to work this Monday :( I was just starting to enjoy being off work, gives me a preview of what retirement is going to be like :D. For those who haven't been to Owensboro, the Super 8 is next door to Texas Roadhouse so you can get ****faced and stumble :D back to your room, most of the other motels are on the other side of Hwy 431, but within stumbling distance :D.

I asked the surgeon Wed. when I went to get my return to work papers and he said he would prefer I wait until Aug. His young protege who assisted in the surgery is savvy to drag racing and said he wasn't concerned with acceleration more with any sudden deceleration.

You can hit Beech Bend on Sunday if your drag racing fix hasn't been satisfied. Bowling Green is only about an hour up the road and is one of the finest tracks around. They have camping, water and amusement park for the kiddos as well.

Just made reservations for my Dad and I. When I first saw the date of June 5th-6th, I wasn't expecting to be coming, because it's my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 5th, and we are having a family get together to celebrate. So I go to my Dad, "guess what Pop, we have the date for the Bash, but it's your Anniversary weekend". He says, "Well, let's run it by Mom, but I want to go". :D Mom says, "go ahead boys, I haven't left you in 50 years, and I don't plan on it now". We are going to celebrate the following weekend after the Bash. My Mom is the best! :cool:

On a side note for Lem, don't forget another Jomar oil filter, because I plan on breaking my record 15 passes from two years ago. :D

i'm sooooooooooo ready!!!! but not ready. i finished up my shop this weekend. spent a day porting and polishing on a head(per charlies recomendations) since my rings and bearings are not here yet. i'll get the other one done this week. then get all that stuff to the machine shop. i still have lots to do. fuel cell, new rad, and vacuum pump mounting up front. remounting the seat for my short ***. then test and tune before i get there. never been in this car and have'nt been in a drag car in 20something years. did i tell you i have'nt had a cigarette in a month( that's really not helping right now). so i'm gonna go get a shot of tequilla. make that 2!!!

Well the trucks not gonna make it now. It started leaking a rear main seal and lots of blow by. So I'm gonna yank the motor out and make it a monster.

I wish I had time to get it back together in time. Right now though I've got a 66 impala that's is waiting to be put back together and painted if its gonna make it to the hot rod reunion, an 88 IROC Z that needs to be painted, and then my 65 is last. The rent a racer thing would be sweet but I wouldn't wanna be responsible for someone else's ride. I'll try my best to get everything together though, but right now I've got a full plate.

I need some help here i've decided to try and get my truck to the BBF bash. Its not the rear main seal thats leaking its getting blow by from the dipstick. I have a breather in one valve cover a PCV valve running to the other. When you run it hard it blow a lot of oil out of the dipstick and possibly other places any ideals as to what might be causing it? It leaks enough that it runs down the engine compartment and down by the main seal thats why I thought it might be the rear main leaking.

I got my truck fixed. So I'm taking my truck to the BBF bash now, unless something else goes wrong which I won't be surprised if it does.

Yeah Darren, you'll get to see the Fairlane run with the Cal-Trac bars this time. Still haven't been to the track yet, since I rolled over my stock spring pads last year and did some damage. It's all fixed up and ready to go. Next Friday I'll be calling Lem up for a new Quick Fuel 950....finally! I'll also have a set of 4.33's in there as well. I gotta make 4th gear useful in that 1/8th mile. :D

It'll be good to see Pat's Fairlane making lap after lap after lap afer lap after lap after lap after lap after lap...... you guys get the drift!
