Me too !!! It will be here before you know it. We need to get a list of forum members that are going & get cell #'s so we can get together at the track. :)

definitely...i know of 6 guys with cars including myself that are going and a few others...would be sweet if we could park close together. I'm sure it would be much funner that way and also if anyone would need anything.

I know at least 7 in my group will have cars there. I'm not sure if we will be able to pit together or not but we are gonna try. It will be here before you know it. Most of us should be there before noon on Friday to get tech out of the way. I plan on making 1 run on Friday evening. If the track looks good I'm gonna make a run with a 125 shot for the first time on this engine. I'm running through the exhaust and on ET street tires. I'm hoping to run a high 9 with this combo. :)

My big block wont be in it, but my small block sure as hell will give em hell!!

I am going to try and come by. Don't know if I will have the car or not, been having tranny/converter problems with ATI.

Guys when is this event next weekend?I seen on the N.M.R.A site that Charlie Booze Jr. said he was going to have his 4 door 460 powered Torino there.Very cool car and very impressive ET's if nobody's ever seen it before.

I first met Charlie back in 1995 i think at the Ford Motorsport Nationals at Maple Grove in Reading,PA.I always talked to him after that whenever i seen him at the track nice guy and nice family.Do you know Brian Eyler he comes on this website sometimes he's freinds with Charlie?I think Charlie told me the Torino ran a best of a 10 teen or 10.20 something pass.

I really can't remember how long ago it was that I first met Charlie and some of his friends at Mason-Dixon Dragway. He had the Torino running in the low 12's at the time. He always takes time to come over and visit if he know's that I am there. He's a real nice guy.

Be sure to tell Mark that my buddy Ross's *** still hurts from the fukkin Mark dished out a couple of years ago on a big block build.

The wife and I are heading that way in the morning to check it out. The guy that is working on my "project" has a shop out here in Western Hampton Roads is going, since a few of his customer's cars are going. He's a Ford guy, but bringing a small blocked S-10 that he built for his friend. It's pretty nasty, but blew the slicks off last weekend on the first nitrous pass. So, this will be first time out on the tall *** MT drag radials everybody raves about. I think they will spray it out of the range of the index will pick, but won't be fast enough to win the Quick 8. They don't care though, just wanna see what it will do. The S-10 won 13K at Pinks All out a year or so ago. Hope to meet some you guys and check out some of your BBF's. I'll be the old guy with a fireman's moustache and a beer in his hand, with a short blonde wife in tow that looks like she is miserable in the heat and humidity. lol

It didn't look like rain.. it rained like hell that morning & early afternoon. They still got the race off. They cut it down to just one arm drop run for each car. They picked the fastest 16 car field in PAO history. I think it was a 9.20's class. I was second alternate for the Quick 8. I don't know why all those damn 7 second cars had to show up !!!! :D

I met Rick and Chris, real nice couple of guys with a sweet mustang. The car was super clean and fast, but 7.20 is a hard field to get in. My brother got in to the 16 but went out in the first round. He has a 69 AMX he was running 9.30 and I think the rest of the field was in the low 20's. He was asked in an interview after the race how it felt to lose, he said I didn't lose that's only one race and you should see how many I have won. He also said the crew that we had here all ran good and we had a blast. It was a long couple days but it sure was fun. I can't remember how long ago it was that the guy's I run with all had cars at the track at the same time. It was quite memorable.

Mostly a GM field. Not a Ford product in the bunch.
