Decided to do a burnout. The throttle stuck and I trashed the A- arms and struts, one tire and maybe the K-member. Still haven't figured out why it stuck. Double springs and over an inch clearance to the breather. I just thank God that no one was hurt and the damage is just parts. This could have been at the track and I could have hit someone or another car. At least here the damage can be fixed and it is only my stuff! Exhaust sounds good though! I'll post pic. when I get them downloaded! 514Fox87 04-02-2009, 08:25 PM http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss274/514fox87/DSCN0098.jpg http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss274/514fox87/DSCN0101.jpg http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss274/514fox87/DSCN0102.jpg http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss274/514fox87/DSCN0103.jpg Going to the track Sunday for the first time! QUOTE] When I was building my car I was looking for solid motor mounts and was unable to find any. I have the ones w/ the obsorbers in them and have the motor also anchored with a bar that bolts to the head and ties in with the frame rail in the old swaybar mount area. Wondering if you had a p/n used from Jegs? When I called them they (at least that employee) said that they did not offer anything like that. 514Fox87 05-04-2009, 06:52 PM Conversion kit was purchased about 7 years ago and sorry I didn't purchase it. Was told it was from Jegs but who knows. Car has run a best of 11.13 with a 1.65 60ft @123.87 MPH. Still working on the hook. Converter is to tight for racing but Dad wants to put it on the street so that is what the converter was setup for. Car is chattering the tires off the line. Just put adjustable lowers on with stock springs in the rear. Leveled the car out and looks better but I won't get to run the car again till Atco. If I can be any help shoot me a PM. | |
