1978 Lincoln build so far

Whats up guys? As of now I have this done so far. I just installed DOVE-C heads yesterday with Crane roller rockers, ARP studs, comp guide plates,7/16 pushrods, and lifters. I still have the Lunati Voodoo cam in it, KB flat top pistons, stock crank and rods with ARP bolts. For an intake I am running a Edelbrock performer and a 770 Holley vac secondary carb. I still have the stock exhaust manifolds on it becouse I can't find headders for that car.

The trans is a stock( never rebuilt as in came with the car in 1978) C-6 trans with a B&M shift kit and a Hueghs 3000 stall converter in it. The rear end is a 9 inch with 3.50 gears( I have a set of 3.70 I will be putting in soon).

I will be running it at the track this sunday. The same combo minus the heads (I had D3VE A2A heads on it with the stock rockers on them) ran 15.50s all day long with the every now and then 15.30.I am hopeing for high 14s now. I will have pics and video of the car at the track. What do you guys think?

Is it a TC or a Mark? It takes a bunch of grunt to move them either way!!! I wonder if Torino headers would fit??

How does the cam sound? I've got the same cam in mine and I haven't started it yet.

On cold start up you can hear the cam lope alittle bit. Once it has warmed up it sounds stock.The cam is a Voodoo 252 540 lift.

I ALSO HAVE A 78 T/C . I HAVE A 468 WITH A LUNATI CAM ,10:1 PISTONS ,BLUETHUNDER 2X4 INTAKE (SO IT STAYS UNDER THE HOOD) SHEETMETAL VALVECOVERS ,PETE JACKSON TIMMING GEARS,IM GONNA TRY THE TORINO HEADERS,(I HAVE A SET) WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW THEY FIT..ILL HAVE 3.73 GEARS IN THIS WEEKEND ,AND A SUPER STREETFIGHTER C-6 IS ON THE WAY..ONE QUESTION..HOW DOES THAT 3000 STALL WORK ON THE HIWAY? IS IT TOO MUCH OR WHAT? WAS THINKING OF GOING WITH THE 2500..WHATS THE RPM AT 70MPH?

just took it to the track..ran a 17.00 @ 82 mph..now the fun begins ..next up 3.70 gears...
