Good looking truck, I wish I had the opportunity to try the mud run once or twice....somehow I dont think my mustang would do it....lol

Do you know the total weight of your truck? And does it keep solid cooling numbers set up like that? Is that pretty common in the mud trucks?

yeah its kinda the norm. for trucks that see alot of mud. It does a pretty good job for the short time that it is running, and when I have to do a few runs back to back, I just shut the truck off for a couple minutes, let the water pump and fans run and she'll cool right off real quick. The truck is damn heavy, weighs 5300lbs with me in it.

Danm heavy? 5300 lbs? Our big 79' Bronco weighs almost 6800lbs:p

Are those Dedenbear knuckles on the D60 I see?

yep, had to put them on after I broke one while out in the woods playin. Its not an easy task to get a truck out of the bush with a busted knuckle HAHA. But they were worth the price, way stronger then the stockers.

Wonder how in the hell you managed to break one - were you jumpin the truck?:D

That is one thing we never had issues with when our Bronco was in the mud was knuckles. Hell, we couldn't keep (stock)stub axles in the D60 long enough to break a knuckle. Now with the Eaton's, we don't have that problem:p We did have 44 Boggers though...

Badass truck at any rate.

Who? me? jump the truck? thats crazy talk LOL, well maybe just a little jump HAHA. I'm not sure how, but I've never broke a stub shaft, even with the detroit and 39.5 boggers. Done everything possible to snap one. Even had one hub that didnt lock in completely till I hit the wall in the mud pit under full throttle, then it locked in, still never broke. But I'm not waitin till it does, I have a set of 35 spline outers going in right away.

Kris - I wouldnt expect anything less from you guys LOL

I went straight for the jugular on my 60F build.
4340 chromo 35sp non-neckdown inners
Alloy USA 35sp outers
forged Ujoints - cryo treated.
35sp warn hubs
and a Detroit.

the 460 never broke it...maybe the 521 will. :D

The 60R is a different story even with Moser shafts. I can grenade it on command so Im building a 70U instead.

you guys should try your hand at mud racing one time. If you think pavement is an expensive hobby switch over to the dirt and you'll never complain again. The payouts are "stellar" over here as well.

Yep, pretty sure I'll be snapping rear shafts pretty easy this year, already have planes for a different rear diff when the time comes.

Mud Freak, did you run the roll bar through the stock dash? If so can I see how you did it. Im planning a 10pt in my 79 f100 and was looking at how to tuck it out of the way and make it not as noticable on the street. Good looking truck btw.

I don't have a cage yet, but I do plan to put one in this year. I'll just go straight down close to the dash, not gonna go through it. It'll be alittle tough to get in and out but thats not a big deal for me I guess.

Oh, in the picture of your truck with the front end off the a-pillar looks like a yellow painted bar. My bad.
