adamsoffroad 03-26-2009, 10:31 AM thanks guys hopin the new engine works well would like to know if anybody has an idea on how much hp and torque it'll make. oh and the winch gets used more often than you think, When it's that big you tend to try things other won't and when it's stuck man is it stuck.:D
77mud 03-26-2009, 10:40 AM That aint a monster Bronco, thats a mega bronco, what size winch do you have it got to be a beast to get out, how many trees have you uprooted when it was stuck
adamsoffroad 03-26-2009, 10:56 AM the winch is a 20,000lb hydraulic ramsey and it'll drag about anything out or drag whatever is hooked to it in with ya too.
Broncobilly466 03-26-2009, 11:44 AM Thanks for the pix Adam. That bitch is bad. 550-600 horse my .02
TorinoGT 03-26-2009, 01:14 PM How do you have a NP205 feeding into a rockwell transfer case? so do you have a compound low gearing?
awesome rig... and I thought 6 inch lift and 38s on my bronc is gunna be sweet... yours is insane!
also... why 5 ton and not 2.5 ton axles? did you really think you needed the extra beef? or just the wow factor?
Shane
adamsoffroad 03-26-2009, 02:54 PM with the 2 t cases I get 4:1 lowrange with the 6.44's it gives me a final around 24:1 which works perfect for the tire size. As for the 5 tons well I'll put it this way I broke over 20 2.5 ton shafts in about a year and a half with smaller tires (57") and it was either spend 4500 bucks on overson shafts for them or I bought the 5tons at scrap price and the are overall stronger and I haven't broke any axle parts since. It gained about 1400 lbs more with the 5 tons and bigger tires than before but as for driving it you can't tell the diff. it's just a little heavier to haul around (10,000lbs) but I pull it with a 93 F350 crewcab with a 460 hopped up with a crane cam and doug thorley tri y's and it'll smoke the tires off at a redlight with the loaded trailer.:D
77mud 03-26-2009, 04:33 PM What size are those tires that are on there now
Ol' Farm Truck 03-26-2009, 04:45 PM got any vids of the bronc?

bronco 460 03-26-2009, 07:57 PM is that the papa smurf truck in the background on one pick? nice truck, i found a set or the 5 tons very cheap with the matching transfer case.
adamsoffroad 03-27-2009, 08:33 PM What size are those tires that are on there now
The skinny tires are 23.1x26 rice and cane tires(65" tall) and the wide tires are 66x43x25 flotation tires(66" tall)

No the blue truck is my buddy Rob. His crewcab is a bit bigger than Dales truck. it's on 65" tires also.

How do you mount and connect the two cases? and with such a short wheelbase? im assuming they are connected via a short driveshaft between the two cases (unlike a 203/205 doubler) you have any pics of that setup? and shift linkage etc... and does the 5 ton case have the typical 2 hi, 4 hi, 4 low selections?

77mud 03-28-2009, 05:26 AM That thang is a beast, it just keep nawing, I bet it would be fun to get out when it was buried
adamsoffroad 03-29-2009, 08:43 PM yeah if it's stuck it takes a good run with a 50' strap to unstick from time to time
