I took the engine out this winter just for a peek inside and to install a windage tray. Finally starting to see some progress. It won't be long now. The headers are a real PITA, that pile of pipes take quite a while to install. http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff147/hotrodmerc/pipes.jpghttp://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff147/hotrodmerc/DSCN3492.jpghttp://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff147/hotrodmerc/DSCN3493.jpghttp://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff147/hotrodmerc/DSCN3495.jpg

I wrestled those exact type of headers for years, one day you'll get enough and get the plasma cutter after it lol.
I took my tranny out last november, rewired and painted etc the interior, new dash, door panels lexan etc, never thought I'd get it done, countless hours in the shop.
It sits ready and waiting to go play next Sat. Seems like your getting nowhere then one day its done.
I gotta start on the smallblock car now...........:(

I feel your pain on those headers. It looks very similiar to mine. For me its not hard to get the pipes in place. The hard part is getting all the bolts started and tightened. I can't fit a ratcheting wrench or socket on very many of them so its an open end 1/4 turn at a time. I usually allow about 4 hours to get the headers on. Good luck. I fired mine up today for the first time this spring. There's nothing better than the smell of burnt racing gas in the spring.

I finally got my engine back together yesterday after a few small delays. Now I'm working on getting the car ready.
