New dragstrip near Columbia,Missouri [Archive]

For those that live and race around central Missouri, they are planning a new racing facility at the Highway 22/63 junction north of Columbia. This project is alive and well, after many thought it wasnt going to happen. The website www.junctionproject.com has been updated and a forum has been added. They are currently looking for investors, as I believe they are having a difficult time securing loans for this project Thanks to our economy. So if your interested, join the forum and post your thoughts. If you know of a corporation/individual that has some advertising dollars to spare please send them that direction.
Also, there are planning a road course, circle track, horse arena and a host of other projects as well.

We can definitely use another race track. I used to live in Columbia and there were a lot of hot rodders around that area that used to go to MAR. I'm closer to Gateway now but I'd still make the haul up there to race.
