Well here it is.It's been sitting in the barn for quite a few years now.Drug it out and cut out the back for the back half.We fit the tires up underneath and got lucky with a rearend i had cut down years ago.It was the exact width i needed! What's even cooler, the wheels i bought off of Wes at the bash, were 5 on 5.The same as the big Lincoln Versallies rearend bolt pattern.I didn't measure them till I got home.Man talk about some luck!!!Managed to get the Rearend,Ladder bars, crossmember and frame rails tacked in this weekend, but we are gonna re-do it to accomidate wider tires if needed in the future. The plan is to build a complete frame underneath this 'ol car.I already put a Mustang II frontend in it.This was the first car i ever bought.I have now owned this for 16 years. It has always been a dream of mine to back-half this car and put a big block in it.Now it's finally happening! Thanks to Blake for letting me use his shop to do this build and the medical attention!!Dang near cut my finger off this weekend!!!Once I get it rolling,it's back to my house for the cage, wiring, brakes, interior and so on.I'll post more pics as I go along, but the build will be kinda slow(money and time).:D Thanks for checking it out! ---RED

Hey Red,

It's looking good already.

I think you have the right idea about building a complete frame under it what with a big block torque you can use all the strength you can build. Here's a shot of the underside of my "63:

Good luck and keep the pics coming!

Since the car had nothing in the back,I put an old tow dolly under it to move it in the shop.when i was putting it under the car,it became wedged. So instead of seeing what it was hung on,I got pissed and pulled on it hard.My hand was on the tounge of the dolly and it smashed two fingers between the dolly tounge and trans tunnel.Cut one finger pretty bad, bled like a stuck hog and durn near passed out. It's funny now.Pops said:boy,if your gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.Excellent father's advice on fathers day.:D

Coon's face was white as a sheet, and his hair was even a lighter color than normal :o Had me a little worried there for a second. Probably needed several stitches if the truth be told.

Put some neosporin on it with a patch of gauze with tape and back to the shop we went :D

Ask him what happened to that same hand today ? :p

Ok,what happened? LOL.

Man my left hand is Throbbing.I was cutting some steel with a plasma torch.I held the template in my hand on the table and when i struck an arc,It arced through my finger instead of the steel.I threw my glove off and most of the meat was still there :o.I may call in sick tomorrow and try to figure out what's happening latley?Done good all these years working in the machine shop to be careful, but lately i've been questioning that.Oh yeah, typing tonight is even a greater challenge.:D.I will rise again!!!!!!!!!!---RED

Red,

Please stay out from under the car for awhile, you know the old adage about things happening in three's and so far you've smashed your fingers and tried to electrocute yourself. I'd also stay away from high places until this passes! No sense tempting fate......
