This is my coupe(only option is cruise no power anything should be moderately light w a bb) thats gonna get the bb(I have a 429 and a ton of parts) I don't have a pic of it with the draglites on it but i have a set of those too. I bought it from the original owner(the guy that does our chassis work on our other cars) been garage kept most of its life. It's in pretty good shape for an 87 lol. Runs 12s with the sb thats in it I'd like to knock a cpl seconds off of that with the bb install. It's an original 5.0/5spd I just pulled all of the emblems off ot it excpet the blue oval in the grill. Anyways I'll keep updated pics of progress even though it might take a little while.

i'm diggin the car, keep those stock wheels with some good, new rubber and you'll have a hell of a sleeper. not that i endorse illegal street racing or extra-legal speeds...

Ive thought about having the ten holes widened, we've had a cpl sets of steel ralleye wheels widened for a cpl of our other cars and theres a place about an hr from here that does it but we've never had them do an aluminum set. I'll keep it as clean as possible under the hood(I hate a cluttered engine bay) I'm pretty good at hiding wiring and other things, theres a dry kit on the car now and you'd be hard pressed to find it(runs high 12s on the motor which isnt that fast but for the sum of the parts it runs ok) so it'll be a clean install. I dont want to have to make any excuses for anything about the car(I'm really critical of my own cars and cars I work on because I like things done a certain way like most of us) so it'll take a little while to finish it(hopefull by next yrs season opener). After I get it done I'll pull it apart and repaint it and put new qtr windows in it(the trim is shot on the ones thats on it) My goal for the car is to run high 10s on pump gas with a full interior, stereo, comfortable seat(no racing buckets) and a reasonable rear gear and converter(street car) if I have to shoot it for a 100-150 shot to get there that's fine too as I have a plate kit I'm gonna put on the engine. Thanks for the compliments on the car.

I will for sure, I read on here somewhere that somebody makes a kit to keep the serpentine belt setup( I search and read so much on here I forgot where I found it lol) which I'd definitely like to do. It's a non a/c car too so that should make it easier(one less thing) to do. Even if it's not a kit and somebody knows how to do it I could probably build what's needed.
Thanks,

Yea, it's been a good driver to me for the last 6yrs. Ive had the motor thats in it(030 over 302) for the last 5yrs. That engine has been a trooper lol, the machinist(a good friend of mine) that did the machine work on that is gonna be the same doing the work on the bb going in it. He does all the machining for everything I have built since I moved down here 6yrs ago (4fords and one mopar for my own stuff) and all of my dads stuff too(4 cars anywhere from his 9sec dart to his 12sec duster) and we have never had an issue with any work he has ever done for us. It's a really small machine shop but he's really meticulous about everything plus he's a ford guy too(has a beautiful 67 fairlane 427 4spd) and so are his kids which are friends too(we all have fox bodies so you can imagine how that goes lol). I have another body I could use for the swap that I have considered, I have a 22k mile 85gt t-top body that I could use but it needs everything if I'm gonna put a bb in it. The coupe has subframes, welded and reinforced torque boxxes, a pretty trick 8.8(I do have another thats equally equiped though too) but I have a vic jr headed 351w(lots of compression and a custom roller in it) w/a c4 with a brake I was gonna put in that body(the 85 gt) that I built this spring but we'll see what happens it's just keeping one of the engine stands company presently with the headers hanging on it but we just got done running all my dads stuff all weekend (thus, fri, sat) so I have a few things to do yet(we do all of this out of a two car garage we share so we move alot of cars alot lol) and hate having to rush right b4 a race to do it. I gonna get that done then I can get this started.. Thanks for all the help there's tons of great info here that's put me way ahead of where I would have started this project from(this is my first 385 motor) if I wouldnt have done all the reading I've done here.
