Zephyrbob's Pipe Dreamzephyrbob 07-05-2009, 04:44 PM hey guys, Here are some pictures of my zephyr pipe dream. billandlori 07-05-2009, 04:49 PM Nice car Bob, Those wheels look great on that thing!!:) I've always had a soft spot for the Fairmonts and Zephers!! Keep up posted! Bill mudbogtom 07-05-2009, 06:02 PM You are 1 steering column closer. Sorry to say I made 1 cut in the wrong place... looks like the reverse sending unit at the trans, so you should have enough room to make a good splice. All the wiring is there including the fuse block, blower motor connections, headlight switch and broken (lol) door light switches. You will need a new rag joint, but the firewall gasket is good. Key is included also. In August you owe me a roll of electrical tape for all patches I had to make to the cuts on my arms. Back to cutting and getting those bolts you want. Tom Mike R 07-05-2009, 06:13 PM Nice ride Bob. The wheels look great, did you make your own k-member spacers? Who's coil overs are those? 70bbftorino 07-05-2009, 06:19 PM what motor mounts is that going to need? i still have those trans-dapts you can have for next to nothing if thats what it needs? let me know. i have zero use for them. zephyrbob 07-05-2009, 06:27 PM thanks guys! bill, my 25 year old step son thinks they look gay, but what does a kid know! tom, i will give you two rolls of tape!, bolts and flexplate deal will be nice! mike, i used approx 3x10 1/2 alum plate, stacked till i felt good with old head bolts to hold them, coil over and all the supension stuff is D and D motorsport lol. 70bbtorino, thanks for offer. i do have some of the ford swap mounts but who knows if they fit as advertized! zbob zephyrbob 07-05-2009, 07:08 PM btw, carls short bock is next to it ready on the stand. zbob Al Martin 07-05-2009, 07:32 PM Lookin good Bob. Tom mudbogtom 08-26-2009, 09:49 PM Sorry that I forgot to bring the axle shaft to Pueblo, but I also didn't give you the spare spiders and c-clips in the toolbox. If I come across another axle, I will let you know and get them boxed up and on the way. It was good to meet you there in Colorado, wish we had more time to hang out... next time for sure. Tom mudbogtom 09-18-2009, 09:30 PM Where are the update's Bob? lol Tom zephyrbob 09-20-2009, 08:17 PM tom! it is a roller! after five years and 5000 bucks it can be re(stored) to its official garage. lol. the finishing touches are the alloy usa 5 lug axles. for the front billet spacers allowing my left over 06 gt rims to clear the 95 gt rotors and calipers. ......so for the total list of parts>on the rear, a 8.8 with new 3.27 gears, new axles, new tracklock plates, new five lug drums, new lowers, uppers, shocks, brake shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders. ......on the front> new manual flaming river rack, new steering shaft along with the longer tie rod ends, 95gt spindles, new hubs, rotors, calipers, lakewood struts, coil overs (175p-14in springs) tube kmember, a arms, sn95 ball joints. alum spacers. .......so the next step is to frabricate new tran member mounts. the early fox mounts are too narrow for the double hump trans member. zbob mudbogtom 09-20-2009, 08:58 PM tom! it is a roller! after five years and 5000 bucks it can be re(stored) to its official garage. lol. the finishing touches are the alloy usa 5 lug axles. for the front billet spacers allowing my left over 06 gt rims to clear the 95 gt rotors and calipers. ......so for the total list of parts>on the rear, a 8.8 with new 3.27 gears, new axles, new tracklock plates, new five lug drums, new lowers, uppers, shocks, brake shoes, hardware and wheel cylinders. ......on the front> new manual flaming river rack, new steering shaft along with the longer tie rod ends, 95gt spindles, new hubs, rotors, calipers, lakewood struts, coil overs (175p-14in springs) tube kmember, a arms, sn95 ball joints. alum spacers. .......so the next step is to frabricate new tran member mounts. the early fox mounts are too narrow for the double hump trans member. zbob You need to sweet talk your wifey a bit... you promised new pictures of the car. Mike R 09-26-2009, 08:01 PM Looking good Bob. I like the wheels, when's it going to move under it's own power? billandlori 09-26-2009, 09:07 PM She's coming along good there Bob!! Thats a good bit of tire under the back of that!! Bill mudbogtom 09-26-2009, 11:51 PM Looking good Bob. My opinion is more towards the GXF. They are much better and easier to deal with as a roller than a jack stand queen, aren't they? I dread putting mine in the position of roller- its near twice the weight of yours and it's uphill both ways.lol Tom mudbogtom 12-03-2009, 08:26 AM Happy Birthday Bob... got any updates?
