Can you fit a 7.0L 460 in a fox body mustang with out chopping up the car too much?

Ok, Im goin to be useing a 700r-4. So i know there will be a little bite of modding needing done. Will I have to clearance any if i go wil tubed headers?

Why a 700r4? They are a waste of time....

Its goin to be a race street car thats going to have a lot of power and the gears arent very street friendly that will be in it so i need the 700r-4 for the over drive and i have the adapter plate and the transmission already for the set up.

Toss the 700. How much hp do you plan to make, or more precisely the rpm's? A high rpm converter will not like the od anyway.

To put the bbf in you will need the right oil pan, headers, and motor mounts. D&D autospecialties is the place to get them.

The dyno shows 754 t/q and 714 hp and be around 6500 rpm but i detune it for the street to be around 560 hp and 605 t/q. Its a built 700r-4.

Let me get this straight the desktop dyno shows it to be 754 @around 6500? And you can detune it by 194hp for the street? How are you going to do this?

no but i used a 100 shot and with the set up in the motor thats what it gave me.

I dont mean to be discouraging but if this program is telling you that a 100shot is going to give you a 194hp i dont think iwould trust the other numbers it is giving you as well.Just my.02 I think you will be fine with the 700r4.
