I already own the 460. Plan on stroking it to a reasonable 521-557 cubes. The engine will be taken care of and built accordingly to about 700-750 hp, that i already have. All im missing is the falcon. was just wondering if anyone has ever done anything like that or seen it done(1960-64 falcon, straight axle gasser, non alterd wheelbase). If so what is all involved in getting that dinosaur motor into a smaller unibody car like that. Any help will be appreciated, from what has to be cut, torched, or massaged out to make it fit. thanks to all. I am looking for any advice, comments or concerns about the build. Im thinking C6 but manuals are so much more fun. any reccomendations on transmissions.

I suggest you read through it. The straight axle question is a bit different, however.
Short answer is, yes, it can be shoehorned in but it takes a lot of cutting and modifying, which sounds like you plan on doing so anyhow. Good luck!

That would be a cool project you should set the engine back so it sits behind c/l of front axle . Wheelstander for sure .;)

Hell yeah!!! For what it's worth I tried "lowering" a 460 in a 64 about 10 years ago. There will be plenty of room on the sides once the towers/suspension are cut. I 'm pretty sure you will decide to "rework" the fire wall as the water pump sat on the radiator support in mine. Good luck and keep us posted.
