We're pleased to announce a new forum for those looking to take their performance to the maximum. This forum and its sub-topics are open to everyone, both to ask and answer questions on performance, components and results. Full Race Tech is divided into two broad categories, Driveline and General Race Tech.

The Driveline section will include everything from the front pulleys to the rear tires. The General Race Tech section will be the exploration ground for related issues like Fuel Delivery, Ignition, Engine, Safety, Data Aquisition, Suspension and so on.

To help getting the new forums up and running, Cale Aronson has agreed to stop by often, answer questions and generally keep questions going in a forward direction. Many of you know Cale, but for those that don't, we can take a minute to get some background.

From an early age, Cale was spending his days in the race shop, learning how to do what seemed to come natural to his father. Growing up in the sport allowed Cale to develop an extensive knowledge of the sport and build on it in his own endeavors. Cale has been making his way up through the NMRA (National Mustang Racing Association) and Fun Ford Weekend events, running in two different classes. He began in the highly contested, all-motor, small block class, which has been affectionately named the "Mini Pro Stock" class. He placed 4th in points his Rookie season and proceeded to build a new car.

Working with the Ford Racing Performance Parts marketing department, Cale secured and built one of the first 2005 Mustangs to be run in the nationally-crazed class of 10.5W Outlaw. With Jon Kaase supplying the power for both cars, Cale never seemed to be underpowered, and always made each pass down the track.

While working on his 2005 Boss 698 Mustang, he was also crew chiefing for Matt Jones, the man who bought his former 2003 all-motor, small block car. While touring for a full year with Matt Jones, the duo was able to defeat every car they faced, through the season. Together they set the National Elapsed Time Record, and a National MPH Record for an all-motor, small block True 10.5 car.

For the past 2 years, Cale has been running in IHRA Pro Stock, where his father was so successful in the past. Cale has been working with different teams around the globe, and has customers in places like Austraila, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAD, Sweden, England, as well as the U.S.A.

For 2010, Cale has again reached out to Ford Racing and with their support, is building a Jon Kasse mountain motor-powered 2010 Mustang for IHRA competition. When it comes to "been there, done that" Cale is a valuable resource.

That is why the forum is setup for all people to ask and answer. I am not going to be the only one. I am just here to help oversee everything.

I am merely here to help and provide assistance when possible.

Jon is by far the best engine builder I know, and when he is available, then I think we all will listen. That is just one of the many reasons he builds my engines! He is a great guy and I have learned a lot from him!

I would like to welcome you to the forum. We all should appreciate knowledgeable and accomplished racers such as yourself being here. I view you and your father Chuck as resources, and I'm sure that there is a lot I can learn from you.

Thanks,

Cale welcome to the site and thanks for letting us have access to your knowledge and experience.
I will be looking forward to some serious talk about clutches and transmission stuff.
I believe N/A motors and stick combinations challenge engine builders and tuners(engine and chassis) alike and can show great knowledge and understanding of machanics when its all sorted out working right.

Its good to have access to a pro stock racer and thanks again................Ron

dfree i sense a bit of hostility in your post towards cale.I am no dr.phil but just an assumption.I am kinda glad that a pro racer takes time to post and help others.I know that our race worlds are light years apart in ways but probably not that different in others.Lighten up a little.

Hi, all. I am relatively new to the BB stuff. My dad and I are thinking of going E85 and a turbo down the road. I did some searching and came up empty. I may just have not put just the right words in. Any way my question is "How much power will a 460 block handle before it cracks?" I have heard of the cranks taking about 800 or so. Is this true. I fugure that as with the small blocks you have different blocks and different cranks. Can some one give me a quick run down of the different cranks and blocks and the HP capability?
Thanks Luke

Also, Why does it matter who are buddies? In the end, all that matters is that we are all car guys. To me it doesn't matter what you drive as long as you have fun. I have way more friends that drive chevy's than fords and they rib me all the time. It's all in good fun though. Personally I love the fact that professional racers take time out of their day to help us hobbyist.

Mr. Cale what class does that wonderful machine run? Or is that just a sig pic?
