I have a 900hp 460 based engine (Thanks Lem Evans (Bf Evans Ford) Charlie Evans (Evans Race Engines), Adney Brown (Performance Crankshaft), Mike Phillips (automotive machine), Phillip Oakley (Quick Fuel)) with a glide, 5.86 Strange 9" at about 3100#

How much convertor should I be running and how fast do you think it will be?

I would recommend you talk with someone like Lenny over at Ultimate Converter Concepts or another good converter shop. There are quite a few that do good work!

As for the capability of the car.... Depending on suspenssion and how it is setup, that weight with that HorsePower should be able to run in the 8.60 to 8.90 second range at around 150 - 155 MPH give or take.

Cale I'm a little shy about the 5.86s not being enough, any thoughts?

Without a little more info, I would be pressed to say.

It will depend on what transmission you are running, and tire size.

I have a powerglide and a 31" tire.

No not really..... I like Running 1/8 mile........ and they are some left over parts from an old small block build.......

Let's lighten up and be nice to Cale, please! I know his dad Chuck and they are good people. I welcomed him to the forum a few weeks ago, and I hope you all do also.
