Is there an ideal angle of the lower bar? Im going to install a new front crossmember on a friends car and was wondering if I should raise or lower it a little. Its a 2x3 chassis so I have a little room there as well as the front bracket are not notched for the 1 5/8 tube crossmember.

Any good places to read about ladder bar set up?

Thanks, Mike

I would get your pinion angle set first while you have the axle mocked in place. Then set the adjusters on the bars in the middle of the adjustment range. MAKE SURE THEY ARE SET EXACTLY THE SAME. You can lay them on top of another and run a pice of 3/4" stock through the rod ends. Then place your bars on the housing at around 2-5 degrees down. Then build your crossmember from there.Hope that helps.
