From the looks of your frame in the pic. it looks like you could maybe use a set of L&L motor mounts. I think I would go find a 70's Ford pickup and do some comparing and measuring to see if it is close to a 70's truck. There are a lot of companies making retro fit motor mounts for the 70's but I don't think any are doing 60's. Come to think of it maybe I have seen a J.C.Whitney 460 motor mount for a 60's truck. You will need a rear sump oil pan and oil pump pickup tube. Decide now what you are using for headers. Fender well headers would be the easiest so your motor will need to be up high enough for the headers to route over the frame. I've got a 460 in a 61 Ford but I used a 1972 3/4 4 wheel drive frame.

Only real [problem] maybe that the 64 frame is narrower about 4 inches
if I remeber right. But if you are still a solid axle most all clearance not
a worry. I believe l&l has mounts. But you can also fab some but GET
the rubber mounts with the motor or it can be a HASSLE to replace
them later.Bellhousing to trans adapter maybe still a swing case? If so
a later trans is the way to go.imo CR
so over my head but i am learning all the term. and stuff...found a couple books....i posted a question in the tech. part if someone would take a look... ordered a mount from LMS and just got the motor back. tranny and tranfer should be back tommorow.... i guess now comes the fun part for a newbie...i'll try to put the motor back with all the parts that i bought....any suggestions would be great...thanks guys for all the info you give me confidence to do this....heres what i bought for her.
edl.performer carb 750cfm

snow, i have a 65 4x4 w/ a 429 in it. fits good, used the original frame horns, and bought the kit from l & l, motor mounts, altenator brackets, headers, and flywheel.
the only part that i made in my shop was the clutch linkage bracket that bolts to the bellhousing

This brings back memories! My dad had a 63 F250 that we put a 460 in one time. It was almost 15 years ago so I don't remember a lot of the details, but I do remember that we used a 370 bellhousing with the motor mounts on the sides. It was out of a big truck or bus I think. That truck was a rare bird! It had a 5 speed out of a f600 in it. Some body had it machined down on the back so that it could be connected to the transfer case. It was a lot of fun to drive!
