why support a vendor who does not support us? you (magnaflow) have been asked some legitmate questions and have not answered ONE! why do we have a "sponsor" thread for only one vendor? Anywayz, magnaflow wont be getting any money from me.

Magnaflow is a sponsor of the Engine Masters Challenge, maybe our guys should withdraw their entries and not participate? So Magnaflow has a small banner on the forum, it helps pay to keep the site going. I'm sure if you have a technical question you'll be able to get an answer by contacting them directly at their tech line (800) 817-3930.

read my post, i'm not bitching about the banner. My point was why have a thread for only one sponsor and it's not even tech based apparently. i realize the word "boycott" is extreme, i was just trying to draw attention my point, i understand they will be here weather we like it or not, but why open a thread for no reason, and only for one sponsor.

I would think a second prospective sponsor would think twice about spending their money if all we are gonna do is boycott them. If you are happy with them, great. If you have another preferance, maybe you could try to get them to come here and get a kickback for yourself. I believe that at the Bash, Jomar offered a contingency(sp) prize if you won with their product... you might get a sponsor to offer something similar if you use their products, unless you publically boycott them.

You, sir, thought enough of them in the past to say you were planning on running their product, and to recommend them to someone else...

i plan on running the magnaflow mufflers as well as their bullet mufflers right before the tips on the tail pipes. shouldn't cause any horsepower losses, just noise reduction.

http://www.460ford.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133875&highlight=magnaflow

the bigger the better. 5.0 mustangs run 2.5in pipe all day with no loss of bottom end, the manifolds will provide all the backpressure you need for bottom end. magnaflow mufflers will give you the quieter sound you are after, long as you go all the way out the back it will be fairly quietish..x-pipes are quieter the h-pipes as well as making more power throught the rpm range, any time the ehaust is made more effiecent it gets quieter. that is why flowmasters are so loud, the chambers slow the exhaust velocity because the gases are spending so much time banging around in the chambers making that signiture sound. JMHO, but i went 3in on my 71 t-bird.

I would love to have a chance at getting a discount or payback for using a product that sponsored this forum.

Enjoy your holiday weekend.

That statement right there is what people have a problem with...

again i said "boycott" to draw attention to my main point: they haven't answer ONE question weather it be tech or otherwise.

Yes, i love thier products, but that doesn't mean i'm magnaflow till i die, if their CS is ****, then i can just spend my money with someone who will answer my questions.

Note the first thing i asked in the Magnaflow thread was about contigency stuff, i'd love to represent them at the track and on the street, IF, they are truely a sponsor that is and not just filling add space.

All the other site sponsors are active here and they get no credit with thier own thread, so again, i say, calling someone who only buys add space a sponsor here is a little lame, I'd just like them to at least take the time to participate in our community, not just to hike up thier leg, piss all over "thier" territory and walk away. at least my dog comes back to me when he does that.

I will give you that, but I do not see any good with a Magnaflow section.

The site was always free before. It could be run for quite minimal cost either locally or at a hosting company. With the latest paid memberships the site would easily be profitable. Obivously profit at a lack of quality is where this is going, like so many of the other generic Ford/Chevy/whatever sites. I would much prefer the site remain what it used to be and require donations from members to cover the operating costs (which are very low if done right). Just my two cents.

I would think in today's internet world, that a company should use more internet presence. No other media reaches so many people. At least you are getting to it!
