Saw this on a Pontiac forum.Had to post it here.

SWEET!

I know this is not a Pontiac but Lane Careys '71 Mach One is a freak. In only its second race it has run 10.48 @131.97 and had Dudeks Road Runner truly worried. Check out this launch.

The car has by far the nastiest full song exhaust note in FAST.Its near 600 inches and sounds every bit of it.

Here is the set-up when the engine was in the Torino.Maybe some changes have been made for the Mach since then.
I'm the guy with the 1970 Cobra in FAST. 557 12.2 compression, stock scj intake and exhaust manifolds, 2 1/2 daul exhaust. Made 710 hp at flywheel with SCJ exhaust, 815 with headers. The car is 4150 lbs and has run 11.02 at Cecil county on Bias plys.

Congradulations Lane !

How is that F.A.S.T BOSS 429 coming along? Noticed it in your signiture.

Got this from a MOPAR forum. The MACH sure was on the tail of the L88 and HEMI ROAD RUNNER.The 400 FIREBIRD was the car they were discussing on PONTIAC forum.

Here`s the break down of the 8 fastest runs. Most of the best runs took place with the air at a corrected 2200ft.

Dave Dudek 10.35@134.48 (Hemi RR)
Terry Pennington 10.45@132 (L88 Vette)
Lane Carey 10.48@131.9 (429 Stang)
Rick Mohoney/Scott Tieman 10.63@132 (400 Firebird)
Steve Hodges 10.89@129.8 (Hemi Challenger)
Ken Veit 10.94@129.2 (427 Camaro)
James Cook 11.12@127 (69 RR 440 6pak)
Eddie Cook 11.18@126 (60 RR 440 6pak)

Unbelievable what they're doing with stock manifolds, must be some cam wizardry going on there.
