Cage was done by Craggars in Edmonton, AB. They did an excellent job and only took them two days to do it. It does make it abit tight in the cab but it ain't there for me to be comfortable. I may move my shifter abit to match the seat arrangment. Just need to add some 5 points and a lexan rear window.

Looks good Myron,

Sorry I didn't get to meet up with you, just got too busy at home. On your tach is that a replacement type LED bulbs ? Also what shifter are you using and do you like it as I need a new one, my old racket shifter has had it. I will add on a electric solenoid to do the 1-2 shift later.

Thanks Mark L.

No worries Mark, it was a busy trip anyhow.
The light came with the tach, my wife got it for me for x-mas last year, it comes with a red light cover but I took it off since we're always running during the day.
I am using a B&M truck style mega shifter, seems to work fine. But I may switch it if I can get the tbrake and rev. manual vb. Not sure if that shifter will work for that setup or not, so I may be looking for a new one as well.

Myron, do you have any shots of how the cage is tied to the frame? Thanks.

Sorry it took me so long to get some pics up. Heres a few of the plexi rear window and how the cage is tied to the frame. You can see the floor plates on the inside that they used, as well as a plate on the bottome side of the body. They did this on the 4 points through the cab. The rear of the cage goes stright through the box and is welded to the top of the frame.

Those shots are great! What did you use around the rear window for sealing to the bars and the gap were you notched? How thick of plexi did you go? Thanks again Myron.

I masked off the outside of the window around the bars, then used claer silicone from the inside. I let it dry for a couple days, peeled off the tape and did a few tough ups from the outside, I can't see anything getting through there now.
The plexi is about 2/3rds the thickness of the regular glass, they didnt have anything of the same thickness, but this stuff seemed to fit fine. Next time I put in another one I will go get a new window seal first, this one is pretty old and starting to crack pretty bad.

That's awesome Myron... I'm really loving the cage! I especially love how it goes through the back window like that, very nice touch!! I was also going to ask for pics of how it attaches to the frame, but no need now. Haha!! And I'm glad to have a forum where I can stay updated on your rig. Seems like we've been "apart" for so long, hahaha!! I plan to start posting more around here, since I want to start planning my BBF build. Anyways, nice cage Myron!!!

P.S. Nice to see you too John!!!

HAHA yeah we haven't seen much of each others builds since FTW kinda went downhill. This is the place to be when you're starting on that 460, the guys on here can give you all the good info on what to do and what to stay away from!! Hope to see an update on Mud-Nut soon!!

Nice cage. 1st class job, great attention to detail ! It's sure gotta make you feel better on those crazy runs.(Which looks like about every pass!)

Bogging to draging most of us round here use the B&M pro ratchet. very handy. slap it up or down, no lock out for 3rd so its fast on the way up and back down. Reverse ability.

That is one of the shifters I was looking at, I may do a electric or co2 shifter as well just for the 1-2 shift like Mark L. was sayin. Thats the shift that has to happen the fastest, and it always happens a split second after you hit the throttle.

Myron,

That's the shifter I run in my ranger. Shifnoid makes an electric setup that bolts to it so you can shift it manually or electrically. I don't have a shift computer on my truck, so I am shifting my via a button on my steering wheel, this way I keep 2 hands on the wheel at all times. I'm setup as a reverse pattern, and the solenoid fires and shifts up each time I hit the button.

Kjett,

You wouldn't happen to have a part # for that would you ??

Thanks Mark L.

Mark,

It's not cheap for the pro tratchet, but the Shifnoid P/N is SA4070, and here is the site:

http://www.shifnoid.com/products.html#electric_shifters

If I had to do it over, I would have gone with the cheetah shifter and setup.
