Hi,

We have an 87 F-250 4x4 with 7.5L heavy duty , non catylist, with dual air pumps having metal lines into the manifold on each side. Any info on this engine appreciated, such as HP, Torque, Compression, etc. Is this the standard 460 with 245hp or some unusual special order engine? Emissions tests show very clean at only 22ppm HC at 2500rpm and 43ppm at idle. But lots of horsepower. 4 barrel motorcraft by holly.

Any info appreciated,

Thanks,

Steve

It's the standard 8.0:1 compression 245 horse engine, torque is 380 ft/lb if memory serves. Nothing unusual about it at all, even the cali spec engines were non catalyst.

The F250 Heavy Duty trucks were non-catalyst due to their 8600 GVWR. Got one myself. :D
