Which Clutch Fork

The truck: 1979,F250,4x4,466, single disc iron clutch.

I am using a lakewood bellhousing and I currently have the ball style clutch fork (351/400) to use. I have already bolted the small aluminum socket to the lakewood bellhousing from the 351/400 bellhousing. I am wondering if the other style clutch fork with the L bracket on the bellhousing would give me more room for the clutch fork to go around the pressure plate. I have two other bellhousing (300 & 302) that have the L brackets. The L bracket on the 300/302 looks like it is attached with rivets.
Which clutch fork does everyone else use with the lakewood bellhousing?

I stumbled on this post, just wondering what setup you ended up using with the lakewood and how it worked out? DS

I'm in the mock up stage but i am using the L bracket from my FE can that originally came off a iron FE bellhousing. the fork i'm using is the one for a big spline toploader. you can use socket head flathead screws to attach the L bracket. You can also make shims of different thicknesses to adjust the L bracket heigth to get the fork ratio right.........Ron
