The budgets running a little tight on getting my tranny build finished and I'm debating if one of the servos I have now will suffice. The tranny is going a street car that will see ~5 trips to the track each year and run on slicks. The car is ~3200 lbs and 600fwhp/600tq estimated.

I'm using a Transgo 47-3 kit and have a 2 1/2" band and an E lever in it already. I was thinking of using the D servo (also have L and N) but don't want to risk burning up the band if that isn't going to be enough. At my power level is a D going to suffice or should I pony up and buy the R servo? I know I could remove the small seal and plug the case to get more apply area but I would rather spend the money on an R if the extra holding force is required.

I understand the funds getting low issue, but you can pick up a new R servo on e-bay for $110 plus the ride.
worth the extra dollars.

I have a L servo and a E shift lever in my 6k 4x4. It works good.
