dana 60 sterling 10.25 ?

ive got a 78 250 with the full float axle.will the sterling 10.25 hub nuts fit on the dana 60 axle. is this a comon upgrade.my dana has the two jam nuts for the hubs and the locking washer is missing.i was told you can use a nut from a 10.25 axle.and get the spring loaded nut to boot.

Why not swap in the sterling? Its a better axle, you get 35spline 1.5in shafts from the get go.. Never heard of using the 10.25 splindle nut on a d60.

The 10.25 ratcheting nut will work, but, if memory serves, the drivers side one is LH thread, while Dana axles are RH on both sides, so you'd need 2 pass side nuts. It's been a while since I had one of mine apart though.
I second swapping in the Sterling though, unless ground clearance is a big issue for you. The gain in strength is considerable.
