Starting on new puling truck and was wandering what final drive ratios you are running? My truck now is 6000# Cheater Street with 466 NP435 205 and 4.10. It does good but new truck will better motor with help of BRETT.It will be pull only with wieghts on front.See where alot of guys are going to lower gears in diffs and say it is easyer on parts.Just wandering what trans and transfer your running with lower gears?

The only way to do it is run low gears in the rearend and run a chevy trans with either a pro fab 3 speed kit or there is a guy that is making a single gear or a two speed he has a ad on racing junk. If not if your truck runs good and it hooks you wont be able to keep outputshafts in it.

Those gears will be pretty ideal for what your motor should do. But you will need to upgrade your 205 with a ProFab kit in pretty short order. The stock 205 will not last long. Rear axle probably shoud be upgraded to Dana 80. Do not use the Dana 70, worse of the pick only a step above the Dana 60.
