This mustang is a 1984 mustang lx it came with a v6 in it and it had that carb on it that was a fuel injected looking carb ( you guys know it looks like a 2 barrel carb with two fuel injection nozzles mounted in it ). Can I hook up all the existing wiring and use a carberator on this or will I have to wire in a duraspark type brain box. I want to use the duraspark distributor. I realize the plugs are different on a duraspark distributor and the one that was in the v6, but I can cut the plug off and put the duraspark plug on it. Will the stock mustang computer work?

What ignition systems do you guys use in these since that idea is out? I could wire in a duraspark but just as well go with a nice ignition.

The red wire gets 12volt when key is on. The white wire doesn't have to be used, it is a start retard feature. If it is, hook it up to a hot while cranking only wire. Re-curve the distributor for your combo.

If you have the money you can use the Duraspark Distributor with a MSD box pretty simple to hook up.
